Attacotti

4th century · 4th century

The Attacotti were a people who raided Roman Britain in the fourth century, named by Ammianus Marcellinus with the Picts, Scotti and Saxons in the "barbarian conspiracy" of 367. Their origin is uncertain; they may have come from Ireland or the western or northern isles of Britain. Units of Attacotti later served in the Roman army.
