Baghel

Also known as Baghel Rajputs, Vaghela

The Baghels or Vaghelas are a Rajput clan regarded as a branch of the Solanki (Chaulukya) of Gujarat. A Vaghela dynasty ruled Gujarat in the 13th century, and a Baghel line established itself in the Baghelkhand region of central India, where its rulers held Bandhavgarh and later the princely state of Rewa until 1947.
