Bakırçay
The Bakırçay is a river of western Turkey, known in antiquity as the Caicus, which flows west past Pergamon to the Aegean at the Gulf of Çandarlı. Some scholars place the Bronze Age Seha River Land, a vassal kingdom of the Hittites, in its valley, while others favour the Gediz. In the Hellenistic period its valley was the core of the kingdom of Pergamon.
