Banasa
Banasa was an ancient town on the Sebou river in northern Morocco. A Mauretanian settlement, it became a Roman colony under Augustus, Colonia Iulia Valentia Banasa, and was one of the towns of the province of Mauretania Tingitana. A bronze inscription found there, the Tabula Banasitana, records Roman citizenship granted to a Berber family in the late second century.
