Bani Thani
Bani Thani is a painting of a woman in profile made at Kishangarh in Rajasthan around 1750, usually attributed to Nihal Chand. Its elongated face, arched eyebrows and lotus-shaped eyes became the hallmark of the Kishangarh school of miniature painting. The woman is traditionally identified with a singer and poet at the court of Raja Sawant Singh, and the image has been called the Mona Lisa of India.
