Bantham

Bantham is a coastal site at the mouth of the River Avon in south Devon, England. Finds of imported Mediterranean amphorae and fine wares show that it was a trading and landing place in the 5th and 6th centuries, probably linked to the export of tin to the Byzantine world. It is one of the main archaeological sites of post-Roman Dumnonia.
