Banu Kilab
The Banu Kilab were an Arab tribe of the Qays group who migrated from Arabia to northern Syria in the 10th century. They raided and pressed the rulers of Aleppo, and in 1024 their chief Salih ibn Mirdas took the city and founded the Mirdasid emirate. The tribe remained powerful in the region until the Seljuk period.
