Battle of Halule
The Battle of Halule was fought in 691 BCE on the Tigris in Mesopotamia between the Neo-Assyrian Empire under Sennacherib and an alliance of Babylonians and Elamites led by the Elamite king Humban-nimena. Both sides claimed victory in their records. The battle delayed Sennacherib's campaign against Babylon, which he captured and destroyed in 689 BCE.
