Beifu Army
The Beifu Army was the main field army of the Eastern Jin dynasty of China, raised by Xie Xuan in the late 370s from northern refugees settled around Guangling and Jingkou. It won the great victory over the Former Qin at the Battle of Fei River in 383. Its officers later dominated court politics, and one of them, Liu Yu, founded the Liu Song dynasty in 420.
