Beni Isguen
Beni Isguen is one of the five fortified towns of the Mzab valley in the Algerian Sahara, near Ghardaïa. Considered the holiest of the five, it kept strict Ibadi rules, with gates closed at night and limited access for outsiders. Its walls, mosque and daily auction market are part of the M'zab Valley World Heritage Site.
