Bergslagen
Bergslagen is a historic mining region in central Sweden, stretching across parts of Dalarna, Västmanland, Örebro and Värmland. From the Middle Ages its iron ore and the forests that supplied charcoal supported many mines and ironworks, which made iron one of Sweden's main exports. Its bar iron underpinned the economy of the Swedish great-power era.
