Bochica

Also known as Idacansas, Nemqueteba

Bochica was a culture hero and god of the Muisca of the Colombian highlands. In Muisca tradition he came from the east as a bearded old man, taught weaving, farming and moral laws, and opened the Tequendama Falls to drain a flood. He was associated with Sugamuxi, the seat of the high priest of the sun.
