Nemocón

Nemocón is a town on the high plateau north of Bogotá in Cundinamarca, Colombia. With nearby Zipaquirá it was one of the main salt-producing centres of the Muisca, whose brine-boiled salt was traded widely for gold, cotton and other goods. Its salt mine is still worked and is a tourist site.
