Bonnie Blue Flag

1810 · 19th century

The Bonnie Blue Flag is a flag of a single white star on a blue field, first flown by the short-lived Republic of West Florida in 1810. It was revived in the southern United States during the secession crisis of 1860–1861 and became an unofficial symbol of the Confederacy, popularised by the 1861 song of the same name.
