Bosten Lake
Bosten Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Xinjiang, China, lying in the Yanqi basin on the southern side of the Tian Shan, near the town of Karasahr. Fed mainly by the Kaidu River and drained by the Konqi River towards the Tarim Basin, it supported the ancient oasis kingdom of Karasahr (Yanqi) on the northern Silk Road.
