Bourtzi
The Bourtzi is a small castle on an islet in the harbour of Nafplio in the Peloponnese, Greece, built by the Venetians in 1471 to guard the entrance to the port, which could be closed with a chain. Later held by the Ottomans and again by Venice, it was used in modern times as a residence for executioners and as a hotel, and is now a landmark of the town.
