Brasília Presidential Act
The Brasília Presidential Act was signed on 26 October 1998 by Presidents Jamil Mahuad of Ecuador and Alberto Fujimori of Peru, with the guarantor states of the Rio de Janeiro Protocol. It fixed the last undemarcated section of their border in the Cordillera del Cóndor, ending a dispute that had caused wars in 1941, 1981 and 1995. Ecuador received a small private property at Tiwinza.
