Brigid (goddess)
Brigid is a goddess of early Irish mythology, a daughter of the Dagda associated with poetry, healing and smithcraft. Her feast fell at Imbolc, the start of spring. Many of her attributes were later linked with Saint Brigid of Kildare, and scholars often compare her with Brigantia, the goddess of the British Brigantes.
