Cancho Roano
Cancho Roano is an archaeological site near Zalamea de la Serena in the province of Badajoz, Extremadura, western Spain. Its building, dating from about the 6th to the late 5th century BCE, is interpreted as a palace-sanctuary of the late Tartessian world and was deliberately burned and buried when it was abandoned. Finds of Greek pottery, jewellery and weapons show the links of inland elites with Mediterranean trade.
