Cetinje Octoechos

1494 · 15th century · Also known as Oktoih prvoglasnik

The Cetinje Octoechos, or Oktoih, is a book of Orthodox liturgical hymns printed in 1494 by the monk Makarije at the press of Đurađ Crnojević in Cetinje. It is the first book printed in Cyrillic among the South Slavs and one of the earliest Cyrillic printed books anywhere. Only a few copies survive.
