Chasseneuil-du-Poitou
Chasseneuil-du-Poitou is a small town north of Poitiers in western France. It is usually identified with Cassinogilum, the Carolingian royal residence where Louis the Pious, son of Charlemagne, was born in 778 while his father was campaigning in Spain, and which served as one of the seats of the kings of Aquitaine. Today it lies beside the Futuroscope theme park.
