Chełmża

Also known as Culmsee

Chełmża, in German Culmsee, is a town in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship of northern Poland, near Toruń. From the 13th century it held the cathedral of the Diocese of Culm, created in 1243 after the Teutonic Order's conquest of Prussia; the Gothic cathedral of the Holy Trinity survives. The bishops themselves resided at Löbau.
