Chełmno

Also known as Kulm, Culm

Chełmno, German Kulm, is a town on the Vistula in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship of northern Poland. Granted a charter by the Teutonic Order in 1233, it gave its name to the Chełmno law used by hundreds of towns in Prussia and Poland, was a member of the Hanseatic League, and passed to Poland in 1466. Its walled medieval centre survives.
