Chi Lang Pass
Chi Lang Pass is a narrow mountain pass in Lang Son province in northern Vietnam, on the main route from China to the Red River delta. Vietnamese forces under Le Hoan defeated a Song invasion there in 981, and in 1427 Le Loi's army ambushed the Ming relief force there, killing its commander Liu Sheng. These victories made Chi Lang a symbol of Vietnamese resistance to Chinese invasion.
