Chota Nagpur Plateau

Also known as Chota Nagpur

The Chota Nagpur Plateau is an upland of forests and minerals in eastern India, covering most of modern Jharkhand and parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and West Bengal. It is home to Adivasi peoples such as the Munda and Oraon. Under British rule its small princely states, including Surguja, Jashpur and Korea, formed the Chota Nagpur Tributary States.
