Cihangiroglu Ibrahim Bey
Cihangiroglu Ibrahim Bey was a notable of Kars who headed the Southwestern Caucasian Republic, a short-lived Muslim government set up after Ottoman troops withdrew from the region under the Armistice of Mudros in 1918. His government claimed Kars, Ardahan, Batum and Nakhchivan, raised militias and held elections, but British forces arrested its leaders in April 1919 and handed Kars to Armenia.
