Cleitus of Illyria
Cleitus was an Illyrian king of the 4th century BCE, son of Bardylis, whose realm lay on the north-western borders of Macedon. In 335 BCE he rose against Alexander the Great and, with the Taulantian king Glaukias, held the fortress of Pelion. Alexander defeated them, and Cleitus burned the town and fled to Glaukias.
