Coahuila
Coahuila is a state of northern Mexico bordering Texas, with its capital at Saltillo. Under Spanish rule it was a frontier province of New Spain exposed to Apache and Comanche raids, and from 1824 it was joined with Texas as the Mexican state of Coahuila y Tejas until the Texas Revolution. Venustiano Carranza, leader of the Mexican Revolution, came from Coahuila.
