Person
Conrad I of Burgundy
Conrad I of Burgundy, called the Peaceful, was king of the united Kingdom of Burgundy, or Arles, from 937 to 993. He was raised at the court of Otto I, who protected his throne, and his sister Adelaide married Otto. His long reign kept the kingdom closely tied to the Ottonians, preparing its passage to the Holy Roman Empire in 1032.
