Crema
Crema is a town in Lombardy, northern Italy, on the Serio river between Milan and Cremona. Allied with Milan against Cremona, it was besieged and destroyed by Frederick Barbarossa in 1159–1160, then rebuilt. It was ruled by Milan and from 1449 by the Republic of Venice, until a brief Jacobin republic in 1797 and annexation to the Cisalpine Republic.
