Dardanians
The Dardanians were an ancient people of the central Balkans, living in the region of present-day Kosovo, southern Serbia and north-western North Macedonia. Warlike northern neighbours of Macedon, they raided it repeatedly in the Hellenistic period, and King Demetrius II died around 229 BCE after a defeat by them. Under Roman rule their territory formed the region of Dardania.
