Diessenhofen
Diessenhofen is a small town in the Swiss canton of Thurgau on the south bank of the Rhine, between Schaffhausen and Stein am Rhein. The counts of Kyburg granted it town rights in 1178; it then passed to the Habsburgs, and in 1460 the Swiss Confederates took it with the Thurgau. A covered wooden bridge links it with Gailingen in Germany.
