Thun
Thun is a city in the Swiss canton of Bern, where the Aare leaves Lake Thun below the Bernese Oberland. Its castle keep was built by the dukes of Zähringen around 1200, and the town passed to the counts of Kyburg in 1218 and to Bern in 1384. It is a garrison town and a gateway to the Alpine resorts of the Oberland.
