Donika Kastrioti

d. 1506 · 15th century · Also known as Andronika Arianiti

Donika Kastrioti, born Andronika Arianiti, was the daughter of the Albanian nobleman Gjergj Arianiti and the wife of Skanderbeg, whom she married in 1451. The marriage bound the powerful Arianiti family to Skanderbeg's cause. After his death in 1468 she left Albania with their son Gjon Kastrioti II for the Kingdom of Naples, where she lived until her death.
