Drassanes Reials de Barcelona

Also known as Royal Shipyards of Barcelona, Drassanes of Barcelona, Drassanes Reials

The Drassanes Reials are the medieval royal shipyards of Barcelona, begun in the late thirteenth century under Peter III of Aragon and enlarged in the fourteenth. Their great vaulted halls built the galleys of the Crown of Aragon's Mediterranean fleets. They are among the best-preserved medieval shipyards in the world and now house the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.
