Draupadi

Draupadi is the heroine of the Sanskrit epic Mahabharata, daughter of King Drupada of Panchala and the common wife of the five Pandava brothers. Her humiliation in the Kaurava court, after Yudhishthira lost her in a game of dice, is one of the epic's central episodes and a cause of the great war at Kurukshetra. She is venerated as a goddess in parts of southern India.
