Kurukshetra is a city and district in Haryana, northern India, north of Delhi. In Hindu tradition it is the battlefield of the Mahabharata war and the place where Krishna taught the Bhagavad Gita, and its sacred tanks, such as Brahma Sarovar, draw pilgrims.
