Duchy of Croatia
The Duchy of Croatia, also called Dalmatian or Littoral Croatia, was a medieval Slavic principality in the hinterland of the Dalmatian coast, formed in the late 8th and 9th centuries under Frankish and later Byzantine influence. Its rulers of the Trpimirović dynasty, such as Trpimir and Branimir, extended its power, and around 925 Tomislav united it with Pannonian Croatia to form the Kingdom of Croatia.
