Person
Duqaq
Duqaq was the Seljuk ruler of Damascus from 1095 to 1104, a son of Tutush I. His rivalry with his brother Ridwan of Aleppo left Syria divided when the First Crusade arrived. He joined Kerbogha's failed relief of Antioch in 1098, and after his death his atabeg Tughtekin took power, founding the Burid dynasty.
