Eanfrith of Bernicia
Eanfrith was king of Bernicia, the northern part of Northumbria, in 633–634, the eldest son of King Æthelfrith. During the reign of Edwin he lived in exile among the Picts, where he fathered Talorgan, later king of the Picts from 653 to 657. After Edwin's death he returned to rule Bernicia but abandoned Christianity, and within a year he was killed by the British king Cadwallon of Gwynedd.
