d. 1687 · 17th century · Also known as Edward Billing

Edward Byllynge was an English Quaker who in 1674, with John Fenwick, bought Lord Berkeley's half of New Jersey. Heavily in debt, he placed his share in the hands of trustees including William Penn, who drew up the liberal Concessions and Agreements of 1677 for the colony of West Jersey.
