Eğirdir

Eğirdir is a town in Isparta province, south-western Turkey, on the southern shore of Lake Eğirdir. In the 14th century it was the first capital of the Hamidid beylik, and its Seljuk caravanserai, converted into the Dündar Bey madrasa, survives from that period. The town and lake later passed to the Ottomans and are now known for fishing, apple orchards and tourism.
