Eidsvoll
Eidsvoll is a municipality in Akershus in eastern Norway, on the Vorma river just south of Lake Mjøsa. In the Middle Ages it was the meeting place of the Eidsivating law assembly. In 1814 a constituent assembly at Eidsvoll Manor adopted the Norwegian Constitution on 17 May, now Norway's national day, and elected Christian Frederik king; the building is now a museum.
