Emperor Go-Kameyama
Emperor Go-Kameyama (died 1424) was the fourth and last emperor of the Southern Court of Japan, reigning from 1383 to 1392. Militarily weakened, he accepted the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu's offer to reunite the two courts, handing the imperial regalia to the Northern emperor Go-Komatsu on the promise that the two lines would alternate on the throne. The promise was never kept.
