Enguri
The Enguri is a river of western Georgia, about 213 km long, rising in the high Caucasus of Svaneti and flowing south-west to the Black Sea. Its lower course long divided Mingrelia from Abkhazia and today marks the line between Georgian-controlled territory and breakaway Abkhazia. The Enguri dam, one of the tallest concrete arch dams in the world, supplies much of Georgia's electricity.
