Falak-ol-Aflak

Falak-ol-Aflak is a castle on a hill in the centre of Khorramabad in Lorestan province, western Iran. Its origins are usually traced to the Sasanian period. It served as the seat of the Khurshidid atabegs of Lesser Luristan and later of the governors of the region, was used as a prison in the 20th century, and now houses museums.
