Fazughli
Fazughli is a region on the Blue Nile in south-eastern Sudan, near the border with Ethiopia. It was a frontier province of the Funj Sultanate of Sennar and an important source of gold, which was traded north to Egypt. The search for its gold was one motive for the Egyptian conquest of the Sudan in 1820–1821.
