Fernmail

fl. early 9th century · 9th century

Fernmail was a ruler of Buellt and Gwrtheyrnion in mid-Wales, named in the Historia Brittonum of about 829 as the king of those lands in the author's own day. The text traces his descent from Pascent, son of Vortigern, to whom Ambrosius was said to have granted the territories. Nothing more is known of his reign beyond this genealogy.
