River Irfon
The River Irfon is a river in mid Wales that rises in the Cambrian Mountains and flows south-east through Llanwrtyd Wells to join the River Wye at Builth Wells. Its valley, with the middle Wye, formed the early medieval Welsh kingdom of Buellt, and Llywelyn ap Gruffudd was killed near its banks at Cilmeri in 1282.
