Ferryland

Ferryland is a town on the east coast of the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland, Canada. In 1621 George Calvert, later Lord Baltimore, founded the Colony of Avalon there, which he visited in person in 1627 and 1628 before turning to Maryland. Later held by David Kirke, it is now a major archaeological site.
